Nottingham Forest host Cardiff City in the Championship on Saturday.
Sky Sports pundit Ian Holloway says he cannot work Nottingham Forest out after their last two Championship fixtures.
The Reds comfortably beat fifth-place Birmingham City on Friday night, then lost against struggling Blackburn Rovers four days later.
Another relegation-threatened side Cardiff City are Forest’s next opponents, although Holloway says they should not be underestimated after Neil Warnock’s appointment as manager.
The Bluebirds have taken four points from Warnock’s two games in charge and will draw level on points with Philippe Montanier’s side if they win at the City Ground.
“I just can’t work out Nottingham Forest – they are like Fulham last season and are hugely inconsistent but score plenty of goals. They hammered Bristol City then lost to Blackburn – it’s a real head-scratcher,” Holloway wrote in his weekly predictions column for Sky Sports.
“The home fans will be keen to get one over on former Notts County man Neil Warnock, so they’ll be up for this. But that should only motivate Warnock more, who has taken four points from two games as Cardiff manager.
“Forest’s 13 league games this season have produced 48 goals, which suggests plenty of chances will be forthcoming.
“Score draw. 2-2.”
Forest’s Cardiff preparations have been hit by allegations aimed at maligned owner Fawaz Al-Hasawi by the Guardian this week.
The Kuwaiti is accused of making sizeable personal demands to the club’s prospective new owners, to whom he is looking to sell 80 per cent of his 100 per cent stake, while also looking to relinquish any financial responsibility of his own.
Montanier’s future is also uncertain, with many fans calling for him to leave after Blackburn, while Warnock’s recent comments about not getting the Forest job are sure to add further spice to the occasion.
