Jansson has won seven of his 11 league games for Leeds United.
Sky Sports pundit Ian Holloway has named Leeds United’s Pontus Jansson in his Championship team of the season so far.
Jansson has played just 11 times in England’s second tier, having arrived on loan from Italian side Torino in August.
However, the Sweden international has made an instant impression, helping Garry Monk’s side to seven wins and a draw, becoming an Elland Road crowd favourite in the process.

As far as Holloway is concerned, Leeds can achieve great things this season with Jansson in the team.
“I haven’t seen Jansson put a foot wrong at Leeds yet,” the former Crystal Palace and Leicester City boss said. “He defends his box with great authority as shown by his average of 9.2 clearances per game in a much improved Leeds team under Garry Monk.
“I’m so pleased to see the Leeds fans enjoying themselves again – they never turned their back on the club and with strong characters like Jansson in the team, they could achieve great things this season.”

Jansson, who scored his first Leeds goal in Saturday’s 3-2 win at Norwich City, was linked with a move to Premier League Watford over the weekend, and his agent later confirmed to the Watford Observer that there has been interest.
However, when asked about his future by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Jansson stressed his only intention is to secure a permanent deal at Leeds.
The Whites can exercise their buying option as soon as the 25-year-old has made 20 appearances in all competitions.
