Ian Wright has claimed that Tottenham duo, Emerson Royal and Ryan Sessegnon, aren’t unbelievable players.
In recent weeks, the duo have been outstanding in Spurs colours, as Wright urged the club to ‘sort the defence out’ for next season.
If Antonio Conte’s side can gain a point at already-relegated Norwich City on Sunday, then they will be playing Champions League football next term.
Swimming with the elite will allow the club to fish for the best of the best in the market – there are rumours circulating about soon-to-be free-agent, Paulo Dybala.
But as Spurs have one foot inside the Champions League door, Wright spoke about their defence on Premier League Productions (19/05/22 at 1:15 pm).
“Then you sort the defence out,” said Wright. “I wouldn’t say someone like Sessegnon and Emerson are unbelievable.
“But I think Romeo has been a great signing. Bentancur has been great. You know what you are going to get out of Hojbjerg.”

EMERSON ROYAL AND SESSEGNON IMPROVING UNDER CONTE
For Emerson Royal, it has been an up and down season for the summer arrival, but he is improving under Conte’s stewardship.
The same could be said for Sessegnon, but his problem is that injuries continually halt his progression.
Nonetheless, come the summer, Spurs need to look for a right-sided wing-back and perhaps someone on the left.
If they do shop for both, then someone like Sergio Reguilon might leave, as rumours have surfaced about his future.
