Kevin Campbell has stated that Arsenal ‘really like’ Leicester City midfielder, Youri Tielemans, as he told the Highbury Squad podcast.

The former Arsenal striker added that he would bring the Foxes man to the Emirates Stadium in the summer.

Previously, whenever Arsenal have been touted to sign a player from the East Midlands, it has been the magical feet and creative touch of James Maddison.

The Englishman has been difficult to lure to north London for the Gunners, and if they ever go for Tielemans, then they will find it equally as difficult.

But Campbell wants to see the Belgium international in Arsenal colours next season.

“I believe there might be a little player at Leicester that we like,” said Campbell. “We really like.

“Tielemans. I think we like the look of Tielemans. I would take Tielemans in the summer. I really would.”

It would help matters for Arsenal if they could secure Champions League football because then they can land the top talents in the country.

There is no doubt that Tielemans falls into the category, with the FA Cup winner set to be out-of-contract at the King Power during the summer of 2023.

Whilst Arsenal might want to sign Tielemans, they will have some serious competition for his signature.

Liverpool have previously proven that if they want someone, then they can land his talents and Tielemans is a player seemingly on their transfer wishlist.
