Inter Milan fans are fuming at their club after reported Tottenham target, Antonio Conte, left on Wednesday.
Even though Conte delivered the Serie A title for Inter, the 51-year-old, who has been touted for many jobs across Europe, including that of Tottenham’s, has now headed for the exit door.
Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano claims that Conte wanted to move the club forward in the transfer market to ‘win again’, but those in the boardroom had other ideas and were looking to ‘sell’ players on.
That has led to this decision and it will be interesting if Conte now returns to the Premier League and specifically to London.
Rumours in Italy are circulating that Tottenham have offered the highly demanding coach a contract amid rumours that they want to appoint him.
Well, given that he is a free agent now and the Real Madrid job is also available then there isn’t a better chance to try and push for a deal if that’s the case.
Inter fans are pretty vexed at what has happened because they were flying high and celebrating their title win only last week.
And now the man who helped deliver all of that is out of the door. But will the ex-Chelsea man even dare take the Tottenham job if Daniel Levy wants him?
