Jose Enrique has claimed that he ‘really believes’ Liverpool could sign Jude Bellingham next summer.

The 19-year-old midfielder’s stock continues to rise in European football following a goal in the Champions League away to Manchester City last week.

Liverpool were linked to Bellingham toward the end of the summer transfer window.

And The Mirror reported that the Reds were confident about signing the England international in 2023.

However, Fabrizio Romano stated that other elite Premier League clubs would certainly be rivalling Liverpool in the race to sign Bellingham.

And former Reds left-back Enrique has stated on Twitter that he feels Anfield is a genuine proposition.

How much will Bellingham cost?

In a word, an absolute bomb.

According to Football London via CIES Football Obsevatory, Liverpool might need to cough up as much as £174 million for the midfield maestro.

Last week it was reported that the Merseysiders were actually winning the race to sign him and hopefully for Jurgen Klopp and FSG, the money isn’t a factor.

This is someone who has the brightest of careers ahead of him and although he’ll cost a fortune, his age and ceiling indicate that he’s worth it.

With Jordan Henderson and Thiago being over the age of 30, and Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain have very checkered injury histories, the German manager is going to need to freshen things up a lot next year.

And Bellingham is a must because if Liverpool don’t sign him, a Premier League rival might.
