Manchester United are not having the best of season, but some of the youngsters have been superb for Erik ten Hag’s side.

Rasmus Hojlund has started to bang in the goals for fun for Manchester United, while Kobbie Mainoo has been so good in midfield that he has been compared to Bastian Schweinsteiger.

Another young player who is making an impact at United is Alejandro Garnacho. The 19-year-old Argentina international winger has established himself as a regular in the first team under head coach Erik ten Hag.

The teenager has made 20 starts and six substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Red Devils this season. The winger has scored five goals and given three assists in those games.

Jonny Evans gives his verdict on Manchester United teammate Alejandro Garnacho

Garnacho has scored seven goals and given three assists in 37 appearances for Ten Hag’s side this season, and his United teammate and defender Jonny Evans has been impressed, saying that he is now a starter and not just an impact player.

Ten Hag told TNT Sports about Garnacho: “I think Garner’s [Garnacho] really upped his game to the point where I probably looked at him as an impact player at the start of the season, but now he’s a starter, without a doubt.”

My View: Alejandro Garnacho is a gem

In my opinion, Alejandro Garnacho is a gem of a footballer and could be a star for Manchester United for years to come.

United are arguably the biggest club in England and are one of the biggest in the world. To play week in and week out for the Red Devils at the age of 19 is not easy.

But, Garnacho makes it look easy, and this shows his mentality and temperament. While United fans should not put too much pressure on him and have to support him when he suffers a dip in form, I think that the Old Trafford faithful should be very excited about the Argentine prospect.
