Amadou Onana has been speaking about life under Frank Lampard at Everton, where he shared what the pair work on together in training at Finch Farm.
Onana learning from one of the best at Everton
Well, the £33.5m signing from Lille has revealed that he and Lampard have been working on his finishing at Finch Farm, as the Belgian aims to improve his goalscoring output.
Onana also spoke about the 44-year-old’s managerial style, admitting that he likes how the Toffees boss creates a relationship with his players.
RTBF quote the 21-year-old as as saying: “I work a lot on finishing with the coach after training. It is one of the missing pieces of my game, we both find that I can be more decisive.
“There is no better way than to have him as a coach. I used to watch a lot of Premier League football when I was a kid, Lampard is a legend in English football. As a coach, he tries to create a real relationship with his players with whom he is very close and tries to communicate a lot with us, and I like that.”

By the sounds of it, Onana is very pleased with his decision to reject West Ham in favour of Everton.
According to Sky Sports, the east Londoners also saw a bid worth £33.5m accepted by Lille, only for the Toffees to steal in and pinch the Belgium international away from the Hammers.
Everton have a potential superstar in Onana
If Lampard can help Onana discover his goalscoring touch, then Everton will have a superstar on their hands.
The Belgian wonderkid is already performing at an exceptionally high level for his age, winning 2.8 tackles per game in the Premier League so far this season.
Onana has been a real force in midfield for Lampard this season, helping out ahead of James Tarkowski and Conor Coady, but he also boasts the athleticism to push forward.
Therefore, if he can just find a way to improve his goalscoring return – he is yet to score in 12 appearances so far this term – then the Toffees will have a phenomenon on their hands.
