Ray Parlour has been speaking about Arsenal target Wilfried Zaha after Crystal Palace defeated Wolves, where he made a claim involving Dejan Kulusevski.

Arsenal legend admires Wilfried Zaha

Well, when admitting that he likes the Crystal Palace No.11 after his goalscoring heroics last night, Parlour admitted that he thinks the £130,000-a-week man starts over Kulusevski for Tottenham, although he needs to be more consistent.

It comes after Ben Jacobs revealed that Zaha is a target for the Gunners.

Speaking alongside Laura Woods and Gabriel Agbonlahor on talkSPORT, Parlour said: “I think I would go Zaha (over Kulusevski). Kulusevski has been absolutely brilliant but I like Zaha. He can be a little bit inconsistent at times, you’ve got to be more consistent if you’re gonna play top level, or you won’t be in the side.”

Speculation over the future of Zaha came after the 29-year-old scored the winning goal for Crystal Palace in their 2-1 win over Wolves last night, following an equaliser from Eberechi Eze immediately after half-time.

The Ivory Coast international now has five goals and one assist in nine Premier League appearances this season.

Zaha sees his contract expire at Selhurst Park in July, meaning that he is free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with European sides in January unless the south Londoners tie him down to fresh terms.

Arsenal surely took notice of Wilfried Zaha

In SE25 last night, the Ivorian was by far the best player on the pitch – nobody could get near him.

Aside from his 70th minute winner, Zaha embarked on six successful dribbles – more than any other player on the pitch – while he also won three freekicks for the Eagles, according to WhoScored.

Additionally, the Crystal Palace talisman had four shots on goal, which was again more than anyone else on the field, on a night where he relentlessly attacked Wolves until he got what he wanted – the winning goal.

Zaha seems to be getting better with age, and if Arsenal can sign him on a free transfer next summer, it would be one of the most impressive bits of business Edu has done in north London.
