Noel Whelan has said on BBC Radio Leeds (2:48pm, May 15, 2021) that even Kylian Mbappe would want to play for Leeds United.

The former Leeds striker, who now works as a pundit for BBC Radio Leeds, made the comments following the Whites’ 4-0 win against Burnley away from home at Turf Moor in the Premier League today.

Marcelo Bielsa’s side were 1-0 up at half time, and they ran riot after the break and scored three more goals.

Whelan was so impressed by the performance of Leeds that he has claimed that Paris Saint-Germain striker Mbappe would love to play for the Whites.

The Englishman said on BBC Radio Leeds (2:48pm, May 15, 2021): “I guarantee you. You got Mbappe watching this style of football, he would be like, ‘I would love to play in this side’. I kid you not.”

Mbappe playing for Leeds? Under Bielsa?

That would be absolutely brilliant for the Elland Road faithful, but, let’s face it, it is not going to happen.

Based on the fast-flowing football that the Whites play and the number of chances they create, probably yes.

Of course, Paris Saint-Germain are a much richer club and have some brilliant players such as Angel Di Maria and Neymar, but Leeds do play some good football as well.

Credit much be given to Bielsa for getting the best out of the players he has at his disposal.
