Neil McCann has stuck the boot into Rangers hitman Alfredo Morelos.
The light Blues qualified for the Champions League on Wednesday night, securing their return to Europe’s elite competition for the first time since 2010.
Much of the pre-match talking points centered around the Rangers striker, dropped from the squad by Giovanni van Bronckhorst due to attitude problems.
And McCann, a former Ger, has slated the Colombia international after seeing the jubilant scenes after beating PSV Eindhoven, claiming that he hopes the controversial South American forward is completely ‘sick’ to have missed out.
He told BBC Radio Scotland: “Alfredo Morelos is irrelevant tonight. I hope he’s watching at home and I hope he’s sick not be joining his team-mates through his attitude. Van Bronckhorst made a big call and I’m delighted it didn’t matter.”

Naturally you would think that Morelos is now on borrowed time at Rangers.
However, the Dutch manager insisted last night that he was still part of the club, despite his omission.
And Morelos himself certainly suggested that he was still a Rangers player by sending a congratulatory post-match message on Instagram.
Overall, the 26-year-old has been a revelation since joining the Ibrox outfit for only £1 million in 2017 [The Times].
Every now and again, though, he causes a stir and it remains to be seen if there’s really a way back this time, despite Van Bronckhorst’s comments.
