Lee Bowyer has been speaking about Leeds after Victor Orta sealed the signing of Birmingham wonderkid Amari Miller.

What has Bowyer said?

Well, naturally, Bowyer commented on the 18-year-old’s abilities, but he also reserved special praise for Marcelo Bielsa.

When describing the environment Miller would be playing in, Bowyer told Birmingham Live: “He’s gone to a good club, I don’t know what they’ll do with him, but I have to say the manager there, what he’s done is exceptional.

‘If he’s in and around the first team and training I have no doubt he will learn and improve.”

Now, Bielsa – who earns £154,000-a-week – is clearly idolised by his colleagues in the world of management.

Why else would Bowyer begin to praise him unprompted, when speaking about a teenage forward?

Exceptional is an understatement

While Bowyer’s comments are clearly meaningful, they don’t do Bielsa justice.

What Bielsa has done at Leeds is nothing short of sensational, era-defining, stuff.

The Argentine has transformed the club. Leeds now have a glitzy first-team full of names such as Diego Llorente and Raphinha, wanted by Liverpool.

Away from the first-team, Bielsa has also attracted prodigies such as Joe Gelhardt, Sam Greenwood and Crysencio Summerville to Yorkshire.

Don’t forget the aforementioned Miller, who made five Championship appearances last season.

The teenage winger has bundles of talent, and will surely strike fear into Under-23 fullbacks opposite Summerville.

Leeds currently ooze sustainability, and look set to compete in the Premier League for years to come thanks to Bielsa.
