Fabrizio Romano has taken to Twitter to inform Leeds fans about some exciting news involving Marcelo Bielsa.
What’s the story?
Well, when detailing the club’s interest in Club Brugge forward Noa Lang, the Italian journalist shared an update on Bielsa’s contract.
Currently, the Argentine earns £8 million-a-year in Yorkshire, which equates to £153,846-a-week.
Now, he could be in line for a pay rise, as Romano confirmed that Bielsa is expected to sign his new contract soon.

Also, Marcelo Bielsa is expected to sign his new contract with Leeds soon. 🇦🇷
While some supporters may not have been worried about the prospect of Bielsa leaving, you can never tell when it comes to El Loco.
Marcelo Bielsa is one for surprises
Until Bielsa puts pen to paper, we’ll be sceptical.
Why? Well, the South American can usually spring the unexpected on his employers.
As detailed by the Guardian, Bielsa amazingly resigned from his job at Marseille after losing to Caen on the opening day of the Ligue 1 season.
Again covered by the Guardian, he then lived up to his eccentric reputation once more by quitting his job at Lazio, just two days after accepting the role.
In that respect, even when he puts pen to paper, you can never be sure.
However, Bielsa seems to love Leeds, and appears to be very happy in Yorkshire.
Even with his colourful past, we’d be shocked if he wasn’t at Leeds next season.
