Harry Maguire has hailed the ‘positive energy’ that Tottenham’s, Chris Powell, is bringing to the England camp, as he told his press conference.

The Manchester United defender was reacting to Powell’s actions on the touchline and his wild celebrations in England colours.

Powell is still on Tottenham’s books as a coach, but at this moment in time, he is trying to help England win Euro 2020 and is a member of Gareth Southgate’s backroom staff.

And whenever England have scored during the tournament, Powell’s reactions on the touchline have been noticed by fans.

Maguire shared that the 51-year-old brings real energy to the camp and that’s especially needed during their off days.

“Chris has been brilliant around the camp,” said Maguire. “I think he brings positive energy.

“I think in these camps when you are waiting in between games then you can do with that positive vibe and energy around the place. And he brings that.

“He’s been brilliant as a coach but also off the field as well. I have seen his goal celebrations, he is really enjoying it.

“But I think you all need to remember that we are all huge England fans, whether we are sat on the bench coaching or sat in the stand, we all want to win.”

This is the biggest chance England will have of reaching a final and winning a major tournament.

Tottenham striker, Harry Kane, who didn’t score during the group stages, has seemingly timed his run to form perfectly with three goals during the knockout stages.

And more of that Kane magic, which he displayed non-stop in Tottenham colours last season, will be more than welcome against Denmark tonight.
