Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane bagged England’s second goal in their 2-0 win over Germany on Tuesday – and Chris Powell loved it.
Raheem Sterling had put England 1-0 up at Wembley before Kane added the second to secure a quarter-final spot at Euro 2020.
England now face Ukraine on Saturday evening for a place in the semi-finals, but many are still just buzzing from the Germany game.
Tottenham’s Chris Powell goes wild
Kane’s goal sparked absolute scenes at Wembley, with fans losing their minds – and Chris Powell has been spotted in a similar state.
Footage has emerged of Jordan Henderson celebrating Kane’s goal as he waited to come on as a substitute, but Powell stole the show in the background.
Whilst Gareth Southgate was calm and collected, Powell was bouncing all over the England bench, seemingly unable to contain his joy as England put the game beyond Germany.
Powell is a Tottenham coach at club level and assisted Ryan Mason, but is currently part of Southgate’s England setup too.
Fans love Powell’s passion
England supporters spotted Powell’s celebrations and took to Twitter to react, admitting they had goosebumps.
Others called it a ‘special moment’, with Powell showing exactly what it meant to be an England fan when the ball hit the back of the net.
Many of the fans weren’t even Tottenham supporters, but Powell still has lots of love from up and down the country after this ‘class’ moment.
