Jose Enrique doesn’t think Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool will sign Aston Villa transfer target Federico Chiesa from Italian giants, Juventus this summer.
The former Liverpool left-back noted on his Instagram story how Jurgen Klopp has ‘many options’ in the attacking department, so he can’t see the Italy international joining.
One thing is for sure, Federico Chiesa is attracting a lot of Premier League interest, with Newcastle United and Aston Villa dreaming of his signature.
At 26, the all-action forward, who was labelled ‘really special’ by Italian legend Gianluigi Buffon, is hitting the peak of his powers.
But he is playing for a Juventus side, whilst one of the biggest teams in Serie A, that has many problems on and off the field.
So, in order for Chiesa to fulfil his potential, it wouldn’t be a surprise if a Premier League move is on the cards, but just not to Liverpool, it seems.

“I doubt Liverpool go for Chiesa now with how many options they have in the attacking positions,” said Enrique.

Chiesa would be an outstanding purchase
Whether you are Liverpool, Newcastle or Aston Villa, if you manage to land the signature of a man that tormented England in the Euro 2020 final, then you have made one of the signings of the summer.
Of course, a lot of this will depend on the transfer fee, which would probably put Liverpool on the backfoot and then the level that team is playing at, which doesn’t help Aston Villa’s cause because, unlike Newcastle who are in the Champions League, it’s the Europa Conference League they will be competing in next season.
Over the years, not many Italian players have played in the Premier League, but a man of Chiesa’s talents would be more than welcome to cause havoc.
