Chris Sutton has predicted on BBC Sport that Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur will win against David Moyes’s West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.

The former Chelsea striker has backed Spurs to beat West Ham 3-1 in the London derby on Sunday.

Tottenham are fifth in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 23 matches.

The North London club are two points behind fourth-placed Newcastle United, who have played 22 games.

Tottenham will not have head coach Antonio Conte on the touchline due to health issues.

Meanwhile, West Ham currently find themselves 16th in the Premier League table with 20 points from 22 matches.

David Moyes’s side are two points above the relegation zone.

Chris Sutton predicts Tottenham Hotspur v West Ham United

Sutton wrote: “I’ll start by wishing Tottenham boss Antonio Conte well and the main thing is he makes a swift recovery from his gallbladder surgery.

“Spurs won the last game Conte missed, against Manchester City earlier this month, and I am expecting a similar result here, helped by them having Cristian Romero back after suspension.

“But we don’t really know what we will get from Tottenham, as was shown by their heavy defeat at Leicester last time out.

“As for West Ham, they were very poor in the first 25 minutes against Chelsea and the game could have been out of sight for them by then.

“The Hammers hung on in there and got something out of the game but I don’t think they will get away with it if they put in a repeat performance against Tottenham.

Who will win?

We believe that Tottenham Hotspur will win against West Ham United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League this weekend.

Spurs have better players, and although their recent form has been inconsistent, we think that they have enough to pick up all three points from the London derby.

After all, the Hammers are in real danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season, while Tottenham are in the running for a top-four finish.
