Arsenal have reportedly turned their attention to Napoli striker Victor Osimhen after missing out on ACF Fiorentina star Dusan Vlahovic.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport via Football Italia, the Gunners, as well as Newcastle United, are keen on signing the Nigerian international, with Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis prepared to sell Osimhen for €70m (£58m).
Arsenal have been chasing Vlahovic for most of the window. However, the Serbian is now set to join Juventus this January as reported by Fabrizio Romano. And now, the north London side have turned their attentions to Osimhen.
The 23-year-old has been in impressive form this campaign, with Osimhen bagging nine goals in 16 matches for Napoli, however, the striker has only just returned to action from a face injury, in which the Nigerian missed eight matches.
With Arsenal desperate to sign an attacker in the final days of the January transfer window and Osimhen seemingly available, the 23-year-old could be a solid alternative to Vlahovic.
The north London side are yet to sign a player this window. And supporters are growing restless over the lack of incomings this January, with Arsenal needing a striker and central midfielder.
Indeed, it is looking likely that there with be no new signings for Arsenal this January, however, supporters on social media are stunned that the Gunners are now interested in Osimhen.
