Ian Wright has told Kelly and Wrighty’s Show that he can see Jordan Henderson and Mohamed Salah ending their careers at Anfield.
There has been a lot of talk about the Liverpool duo recently and whether they will join the likes of Fabinho and Alisson Becker in penning down new contracts.
Salah, who joined Liverpool in 2018 for £37 million (Guardian), has a contract on Merseyside until 2023, so there will be some worry about when he extends that deal.
As for Henderson, there were previous suggestions that there had been a breakdown in talks over his contract with PSG lurking in the background, but it has now been claimed that he has agreed on a new three-year deal.
Wright shared his thoughts on Henderson and Salah on Merseyside and how he can see them staying put right until the end.
“He (Henderson) is somebody I can see staying there for the rest of his career,” said Wright. “The same with Mo Salah now.
“We know that Liverpool, normally, at some stage, they are going to sell one of the big guys. Of course, the pandemic has put pay to that. They couldn’t do that.
“The next best thing. Imagine trying to buy someone like Mohamed Salah? How much that is going to cost with his goal return. Same with Mane. Same with Firmino.
“If you can tie them guys up, if they are going to stay then you know what you are going to get from them. Rather than splash out a lot of money on a player that might not fit in or score the goals.”

If either duo walked out of the Anfield doors tomorrow then they both would leave as legends.
Winning the European Cup for the sixth time and also ending 30 years of hurt by winning the Premier League title, these players, not just Henderson and Salah, will be remembered for a very long time.
But whilst it seems like Henderson will be here in years to come, the Liverpool faithful will also be hoping the same applies to Salah.
He will perhaps, or already is, will go down in Liverpool’s greatest ever XI because he has some legacy at the club.
