With all due respect to the ambitious north Londoners, Tottenham are perhaps the smallest club Antonio Conte has managed since 2011.
The Italian took the reins at Juventus in 2011, winning the Serie A title without losing a game in his first season, before joining Italy.
Spells with Chelsea and Inter Milan followed, but despite their lack of silverware, Conte has already called Spurs a ‘top club’ for one reason.
What’s the story?
Well, in his first interview after replacing Nuno Espirito Santo, the 52-year-old spoke very highly of the club’s facilities at Hotspur Way.
As quoted by Tottenham’s official Twitter account, Conte said: “I have seen today the training ground, and I wanted to start work! I arrive at a top club.”
There’s no doubt about it, Hotspur Way is arguably the best training ground in the entirety of English football.
What impressed Antonio Conte?

You may be wondering what it was in particular about Hotspur Way which left Conte impressed.
While he doesn’t mention any specifics, here are some features of Tottenham’s state-of-the-art training ground which may have caught the Italian’s eye.
As seen on Tottenham’s official website, Hotspur Way boasts 15 grass pitches across the entire site, with four dedicated solely to first-team training.

Hotspur Way also has 40 rooms with a 100% noise cancellation system installed in each one, with the beds in each room fitted with mattresses designed to maximise sleep.
Conte is believed to have slept in one of these rooms already.
There are also indoor pitches, analysis rooms, gyms, dining areas and swimming pools, all constructed to the highest quality possible.
It’s no wonder Conte was left impressed.
Daniel Levy, for all his errors, has provided Tottenham with the best facilities possible, without a shadow of a doubt.
