Fabrizio Romano has said on his YouTube channel that he has been told that the new Newcastle United owners will sign young and talented players for the future.
The well-known and well-respected football journalist has claimed that Newcastle will not just target top players, but also young footballers who can be successful in the future.
An investment group led by the Public Investment Fund (PIF), and also comprising PCP Capital Partners and RB Sports & Media, have taken over Newcastle from Mike Ashley.
British financier Staveley is a founder of PCP Capital Partners and will have a seat on the Newcastle board, as reported by The Guardian.
Romano said on his YouTube channel: “Newcastle will go, from what I am told, for also young, talented players.
“It just has not got to be only top players, already completed, but also players for the future. So this is what Newcastle want to do, I am told.”

Sensible move?
Newcastle are now a very rich club, and it is very likely that they will make signings in the January transfer window and in the summer of 2022.
Players such as Philippe Coutinho, Jesse Lingard and Eric Bailly have already been linked, and so has Conor Gallagher.
Now, it is very unlikely that Newcastle will be able to bring in genuinely world-class players right away.
It will be a gradual progress.
PIF will have to be sensible about their finances, and it is very encouraging to see that they plan to bring in young players who can build foundation for the future.
