Massimiliano Allegri is one of the best mangers available for work at the moment, and there is no surprise that Tottenham Hotspur reportedly want him at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Football.London reported last month that Tottenham are big admirers of the former Juventus manager, as covered by HITC Sport.

The 53-year-old won Serie A titles with AC Milan and Juventus and also reached the final of the Champions League twice with the Bianconeri.

Just like Jose Mourinho, Allegri would be a blockbuster managerial appointment for Tottenham.

However, it seems that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy could face competition from Real Madrid and Napoli for the services of the Italian.

Well-known and well-respected journalist Duncan Castles has claimed that Allegri is hoping to get the Madrid managerial role if it becomes available.

The Italian is also claimed to be interested in taking charge of Napoli, but does not want to go back to his former club Juventus.

Castles said on The Transfer Window Podcast: “Max Allegri, who Agnelli has been looking at to come back as coach, I am told, has now decided that he won’t return to Juventus. He doesn’t want to be part of the club when there isn’t a strong budget to work with.”

The journalist added: “He has, I am told, an offer from Napoli to take over from Gennaro Gattuso, which he is interested in. He is waiting to see if the Real Madrid job opens up.

“If Zidane decides to leave or if he is shifted out at the end of the season, he is hoping if that happens, he will be asked to replace Zidane given his good relationship with Florentino Perez.”

Madrid are one of the biggest clubs in the world, and one can understand why Allegri would want to manage them.

If Zinedine Zidane leaves Madrid, then Los Blancos would be looking for a blockbuster name to replace the Frenchman

It is hard to see Allegri pick Spurs over Madrid. Tottenham chairman Levy will have to hope that Zidane stays on as the manger of Los Blancos.
