Tim Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (2:31pm, March 6, 2021) that Chelsea will beat Everton tonight, and he used the same phrase he did while looking ahead to the Merseyside derby against Liverpool.
Ahead of the Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Anfield on February 20, former Tottenham Hotspur and Aston Villa manager Sherwood said on Sky Sports News that the Reds were going to put some manners on the Toffees, according to Soccer Saturday host Jeff Stelling.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side won the match 2-0 to enhance their chances of finishing in the top four of the Premier League table this season.
The Toffees are in action tonight, as they face Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League.
Ahead of the game, Sherwood has admitted that he was wrong, but the Englishman has said that Chelsea will ‘put manners’ on Everton.
Sherwood said on Sky Sports News (2:31pm, March 6, 2021): “I admit I got it wrong.”
The Englishman added: “I am sorry Everton fans, but I will say Chelsea are going to put manners on you tomorrow.”
