Clinton Morrison has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur duo Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg and Rodrigo Bentancur lack creativity following their goalless draw against Frankfurt in the Champions League on Tuesday, as he told Soccer Special on Sky Sports News.
Tottenham failed to score for their second Champions League game running and Morrison added that ‘it wasn’t a brilliant performance’ from Antonio Conte’s men in Germany.
It’s still very difficult to tell whether this is a point gained or one dropped because Group D is so tight.

Sporting Lisbon are sitting top on six points, with Spurs in second on four, alongside yesterday’s opponents, whilst Marseille are bottom on three points after beating the Portuguese giants last night.
If Spurs can pick up three points next week, then it should put them in the driving seat for the final few fixtures and that draw then looks like a very good result.
But their performances aren’t encouraging on the eye so far, as Morrison highlighted the absence of Dejan Kulusevski as a problem.
“It wasn’t a brilliant performance, they will take the point and they need to beat Frankfurt next week because that group is tight,” said Morrison.
“The game lacked quality. It was a disappointing performance. They are missing Kulusevski, at the moment.
“I look at their midfield. I am looking at Bentancur and Hojbjerg. I am thinking ‘who is that midfielder that can put their foot on it and play that incisive pass?’
“They are both good midfielders but they are missing that creative spark, so that’s why when they don’t have Kulusevski, it then becomes a struggle. Harry Kane then has to come deep to create for Son.”

TOTTENHAM’S MIDFIELD ISSUES
Tottenham had the chance to add some creative spark to their midfield during the 2022 summer transfer window.
From possibly re-signing Christian Eriksen on a free transfer to paying big bucks for someone else, it’s a road the club didn’t go down.
Instead, during the January window, in came the defensive brain of Bentancur and he made quite the difference.
Whilst Yves Bissouma was added to Tottenham’s squad in the summer, another defensive player, who is now struggling for minutes.
