Chris Sutton has predicted on BBC Sport that Eddie Howe’s Newcastle United will win against Graham Potter’s Chelsea this weekend.

Newcastle will take on Chelsea at St. James’ Park in the Premier League.

And former Chelsea striker Sutton believes that Eddie Howe’s side will pick up all three points from the encounter courtesy of a 1-0 win.

Chris Sutton predicts Newcastle v Chelsea

Sutton wrote: “Chelsea were very disappointing against Arsenal last weekend.

“The Gunners looked like a side who had an identity – while the Blues didn’t appear to have a clear idea of what they would do when they came forward, or link up well at all.

“Newcastle will stay in the top four whatever happens in this game, and they must be delighted with their recent results that have put them there, as well as the way they have been playing

“I think we will see more of the same here. I don’t expect this to be a high-scoring game, but I am backing the Magpies to make it five league wins in a row.

Sutton’s prediction: 1-0.”

Who will win?

In our view, Newcastle United could win against Chelsea at St. James’ Park in the Premier League this weekend.

Yes, Chelsea have a better team on paper, but Newcastle are in better form at the moment.

The Magpies are doing well in the Premier League now and are in the race for the top four.

We think that Newcastle will not lose to Chelsea, and we will not be surprised if the Magpies pick up all three points from the encounter.

It will not be easy, though, and Chelsea are going to be defensively strong and will not concede more than two goals at St. James’ Park.

Newcastle will have home advantage as well against Chelsea, and that could play a big role.
