Celtic boss Neil Lennon is said to be keen to bring Stephen Kingsley to Parkhead.

Stephen Kingsley has taken a battering from Hull City fans, amid rumours in The Sun on Sunday (04/08, page 67) that he could be on the way to Celtic.

Neil Lennon is said to want to bring in Kingsley at Celtic, as he searches for a replacement for Kieran Tierney.

The youngster is reportedly well liked at Parkhead, but if Celtic were watching Hull’s game last night they may not have been so impressed.

The Tigers lost 1-0 to Blackburn Rovers, and Kingsley’s display was heavily criticised by those in attendance.

Celtic lost Kieran Tierney over the summer, so are desperate for another left-back.

Kingsley could fill the void for Lennon’s side, although whether they will still push to sign him remains to be seen.

Celtic have already brought in Boli Bolingoli, but he has not looked entirely convincing so far.

Lennon is also claimed to want Birger Meling in the Glasgow Evening Times, but Kingsley could still remain an option for Celtic, if they do look to bring in more cover.
