Antonio Conte’s Tottenham Hotspur are now competing with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal for Reims striker Hugo Ekitike, according to CM.

CM have reported that Arsenal, Tottenham, AS Roma, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid all are interested in signing Ekitike from Reims in the summer transfer window.

The 19-year-old French striker is valued at €20 million (£17 million) by Reims.

Earlier this month, But! Football Club reported that Arsenal scouted the striker when he was in action for Reims against Stade Brestois on February 20.

The report added that Reims want €40 million (£33 million) as transfer fee for the France Under-20 international striker.

But, based on report in CM, the price is now €20 million (£17 million).

Arsenal or Tottenham Hotspur for Hugo Ekitike?

In our opinion, Arsenal would have a better chance than Tottenham of signing Ekitike from Reims in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham already have a world-class striker in Harry Kane, and 19-year-old Ekitike would not find it easy to get regular playing time at Tottenham Hotspur Star.

Arsenal did not replace Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the January transfer window, while Eddie Nketiah and Alexandre Lacazette are out of contract at the end of the season.

Ekitike has scored nine goals and given two assists in 14 Ligue 1 starts for Reims so far this season.
