Browns rookie Shedeur Sanders credited one Ravens star for inspiring their win over the Steelers.

Shedeur Sanders helped the Cleveland Browns pull off one of their biggest wins of the season on Sunday, beating the Pittsburgh Steelers 13–6.

After the game, the rookie quarterback revealed that his pre-game motivation came from an unexpected source — Baltimore Ravens backup Tyler “Snoop” Huntley.

Shedeur Sanders said Tyler Huntley ‘breathed life’ into him before the game

After the Cleveland Browns defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers, Shedeur Sanders spoke to the press, overjoyed about the win.

Sanders told reporters he received a call from Huntley at 6:30 a.m. on game day — just hours after Huntley had led the Ravens to a win of his own.

“I’m like, dang, bro, why are you still up? He was excited. They just got their win, and he was definitely giving words of encouragement and stuff for me, but that’s just how he is.

“He’s not just doing that just because it gives them a chance. I think that’s the overall person he is. The time that we have spent together, he did nothing but speak life into me, and I truly appreciate him for that.”

The Browns’ victory not only kept their playoff hopes alive but also set up a decisive AFC North clash between the Steelers and Huntley’s Ravens next week — a game that will determine the division title.

Despite two interceptions, Sanders completed 17 of 23 passes for 186 yards and a touchdown, showing the composure and control that defined his performance in just his first NFL season.

Shedeur Sanders and Tyler Huntley formed a bond during Browns training camp

Sanders and Huntley first met during Browns training camp this preseason, when Huntley briefly joined the team before being released.

The two stayed in contact, and Huntley has continued to offer encouragement throughout Sanders’ rookie campaign.

After beating the Packers on Saturday night, Huntley even joked about needing to end his press conference early so he could call Sanders.

Less than a day later, the Browns quarterback delivered one of the defining performances of his young career.

For Sanders, the win wasn’t just about playoff implications — it was about gratitude, and repaying the encouragement of a friend who believed in him before he’d ever taken a regular-season snap.
