The 2026 World Cup ended sourly for Christian Pulisic, who suffered an injury against Belgium.

Christian Pulisic’s 2026 World Cup campaign was a deeply frustrating one, defined by injuries and unfulfilled potential.

After a brilliant first half in the opener against Paraguay, a calf injury sidelined him for chunks of the group stage, rendering him largely ineffective.

Pulisic’s tournament reached a conclusion during the Round of 16 clash against Belgium. In the 52nd minute, Pulisic twisted his right ankle and knee after colliding with Youri Tielemans’ boot, and despite trying to play through the pain, he was subbed off in tears.

His attentions now turn to his future, with a lucrative offer from NYFC on the table for Pulisic.

🤔 Should Pochettino stay as USA manager or come back to club football? And why?

He has been offered a contract extension to take him to the next World Cup…

Christian Pulisic’s 2026 World Cup earnings revealed

Christian Pulisic played 225 minutes during the 2026 World Cup before the ankle injury.

As the face of the USMNT, he faced brutal fan backlash for a scoreless campaign, heavy first-half turnovers against Belgium, and a seemingly nonchalant attitude.

Despite all of this, he’s still set to earn the same amount as his USMNT teammates from the World Cup, as ESPN have given the rundown on the prize money.

It’s believed that Pulisic will receive around $246,153.85 for his efforts at the World Cup, which works out as $6.4 million split across the 26 squad members.

Overall, the prize money for the USMNT at the World Cup sits at $16 million, missing out on a potential $20 million had they made it past Belgium.

And due to an equal pay agreement, 80% is shared between the USWNT and the men, whilst U.S. Soccer retains a 20% portion of the overall payout.
