England’s impressive run at the 2026 FIFA World Cup has captured the attention of football fans across the globe, and actor Tom Holland is no exception.

The Spider-Man star was recently asked which England player he has been “fangirling” over during the tournament.

Without hesitation, Holland named Jude Bellingham, praising the Real Madrid midfielder after another standout display for the Three Lions.

Jude Bellingham Continues To Shine On Football’s Biggest Stage

Bellingham has been one of England’s standout performers throughout the World Cup. The star midfielder added another memorable chapter with a brace in in their team’s dramatic 3-2 Round of 16 victory over Mexico.

His performance helped England book a place in the quarter-finals, despite playing much of the second half with 10 men.

Holland summed up what many England supporters have been feeling by saying he was “fangirling” over Bellingham before adding, “What a guy.”

The brief but enthusiastic response quickly made the rounds on social media, highlighting just how much the midfielder’s performances have garnered attention beyond the football world.

Bellingham’s Influence Continues To Grow on and off the Pitch

At only 23, Bellingham has already established himself as one of England’s most important players and one of football’s biggest stars.

His leadership, composure and ability to deliver in high-pressure moments have made him central to England’s hopes of ending their long wait for another World Cup title.

With the quarter-finals vs. Norway still to come, Bellingham has another opportunity to bolster his growing reputation.

And if Holland’s reaction is any indication, his fan base extends well beyond football circles.
