Magic Johnson offered a deeply personal and affectionate birthday message for his wife Cookie, affirming her importance in his life and the journey they’ve shared.

“Happy Birthday to my forever love and my beautiful wife, Cookie Johnson! Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us that two are better than one, and life with you by my side has been God’s greatest gift to me. Your love, faith, and kindness uplift everyone you touch, especially me,” Magic began.

He added: I’m so thankful for every memory we’ve made and every season we’ve walked through together. I’m excited to see all the ways God continues to cover you, bless you, and open new doors for you in this next year.

“You deserve every good thing He has planned. Happy Birthday, Baby!”

Magic’s words, rooted in faith and devotion, reflect a relationship that has stood the test of time and public scrutiny, earning admiration from fans around the world.

The Johnsons’ long and loving relationship

Magic and Cookie Johnson first met as students at Michigan State University in the late 1970s and married in 1991, creating one of basketball’s most admired partnerships.

They have been married for over three decades, raising their family together and navigating major life events hand-in-hand, including Magic’s public HIV diagnosis shortly after their wedding, a challenge where Cookie supported him through with unwavering loyalty.

The couple shares two children: their son Earvin “EJ” Johnson III and their adopted daughter Elisa. Over the years, they’ve also become known for their philanthropy and public presence, often attending events and celebrations side-by-side as a testament to their enduring love.
