Chelsea’s Enzo Maresca has heaped praise on his versatile attacker that he admitted that he ‘loves’ with the season two weeks away.
Enzo Maresca’s Chelsea have been one of the more busier sides in the summer transfer window with the former Leicester City manager embarking on his first full season at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea have signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Marc Guiu, Tosin Adarabioyo, and Filip Jorgensen. The Blues could well be set to add to these numbers in the weeks ahead.
HITC have reported that Chelsea are in talks with Napoli’s Victor Osimhen which would mean a potential swap involving Romelu Lukaku moving the other way.
However, Maresca has been keen to praise one of his forwards during pre-season.

Enzo Maresca keen to praise Christopher Nkunku
Since moving to Chelsea last summer, things have not worked out well at all for French forward Christopher Nkunku.
Arsenal icon Thierry Henry admitted he loved watching Nkunku play but the Frenchman suffered a plethora of injury problems for the Blues under Mauricio Pochettino.
Pochettino was beginning to become frustrated with Nkunku but under a new manager in Maresca, the hope will be that the former RB Leipzig forward can kick on under the Italian.
As per Fabrizio Romano on X, the Italian was keen to praise Nkunku and has explained why he loves the forward.
“I knew Nkunku before I joined… I love him,” he said. “He can play in the pocket, as a nine and winger. He’s a very good fit for this system”.
Nkunku has to be given chances for Chelsea
Hearing Henry admit that he loves a player was the first sign that the French forward is a superb footballer and has to be key for the club.
Whether Chelsea sign Victor Osimhen or not, Nkunku has to be utilised, whether it’s in a wide position or behind the striker.
In his final season for Leipzig, the Frenchman only started 20 games for the Bundesliga side but still netted on 16 occasions.
For the German side, Nkunku played across the front line and this should be utilised by Chelsea, as long as he can stay fit for the Blues across the season.
