Jamie Redknapp has said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:53pm, December 19, 2021) that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson was “horrendous” against Tottenham Hotspur at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday.

The former Liverpool and Tottenham midfielder has said that Alisson was at fault for the second goal that Spurs scored.

The Premier League game on Sunday ended in a 2-2 draw.

While praising Tottenham for the way they scored the second goal, Sky Sports pundit Redknapp said that Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson should have done better.

Redknapp said: “You have to look at the keeper. It was a horrendous mistake.”

Alisson disappointed for Liverpool v Tottenham

In our opinion, Alisson had a poor game for Liverpool against Tottenham by his own standards.

The Brazil international goalkeeper should have done much better than he did for the goal that Son Heung-min score.d

There were also a couple of moments when Alisson made bad judgements and could have cost Liverpool.

However, we should also praise Alisson for the saves he made.

There was one particular save that denied Dele Alli.

Now, we have to admit that goalkeepers, like outfield players, make mistakes.

The problem is that mistakes from goalkeepers end up in costing goals and points.
