Jamie Redknapp has said on Sky Sports Premier League (6:42pm, December 19, 2021) that Dele Alli was “exceptional” for Tottenham Hotspur against Liverpool at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in the Premier League on Sunday evening.
Redknapp was impressed by how Alli played for Tottenham, as the game ended in a 2-2 draw.
The former Spurs midfielder believes that the Englishman was “exceptional” against Liverpool.
Redknapp said about Alli: “If he could keep up that kind of form, there is no reason why he can’t become a regular in the team. I thought he was exceptional today, as was Harry Winks.”
Dele Alli impresses for Tottenham v Liverpool
Against Liverpool on Sunday, Alli got his first start in the Premier League under Antonio Conte.
And he did not disappoint.
The 25-year-old had a great chance to score, but Alisson in the Liverpool goal made a brilliant save.
Alli played like a man possessed and was a force to be reckoned with.

Now, when you consider that the opposition was Liverpool, you have to praise Alli even more.
After all, as we all know, Liverpool are one of the best and strongest teams in entire Europe.
So, in our view, Alli’s performance for Spurs against Liverpool is even more impressive.
It will be interesting to see if the former MK Dons star is able to build on this performance and kick on.
