According to The Athletic, Liverpool have reached an agreement with Brighton and Hove Albion over the signing of Moises Caicedo in the summer transfer window.

The former Premier League and UEFA Champions winners have won the race to the signature of Caicedo ahead of Chelsea, according to the report.

Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano has also reported on Twitter that Caicedo will become a Liverpool player today if everything goes to plan.

Former Liverpool star Jose Enrique has given his take on the situation of Caicedo, and believes that he would be a very good signing for the Reds.

Caicedo is only 21 now and has had just one good season in the Premier League.

The youngster has made 45 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career.

The midfielder has scored two goals and given two assists in those games.

However, the Ecuador international has huge potential.

We believe that the youngster would flourish at Liverpool.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would be able to improve Caicedo and make him even better.

While some will suggest that paying over £100 million for Caicedo is too much, there is no doubt that he has a lot of potential.
