Torino legend Ezio Rossi believes Gleison Bremer could join Premier League giants Liverpool when the time comes to leave the Serie A outfit, speaking to TuttoJuve.
If Bremer succeeds in cancelling out the fearsome Dusan Vlahovic in Friday night’s Derby della Mole, he will – in the words of ex-Granata midfielder Rosario Rampanti – announce himself as the ‘strongest defender not only in Italy but also in Europe’.
That is an ‘if’ the size of the Monte Musinè of course.
Vlahovic barely got a sniff of a chance when he went head-to-head with Torino’s belligerent Brazilian in January, the home side running out 4-0 winners.
Another performance like that – as Torino chase a first win over their city rivals since 2015 – will not only enhance Bremer’s already growing reputation, it will also do his chances of a big-money move to a European powerhouse no harm at all
Could Liverpool make another move for Gleison Bremer?
“He is a very good defender. (Torino coach Ivan) Juric has improved him considerably. Only compliments!” beams Rossi.
Bremer looks certain to leave Torino at some point in the near future, with Sport1 claiming that Bayern Munich have entered talks.

Newcastle United failed with a £25 million bid in January, according to Correire Granata. Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool are also long-time admirers.
And, given the choice, Rossi would hardly be dismayed to see Bremer swap Turin for the Premier League. Anything’s better than him making the short trip across the city to Juventus after all.
“Bremer is not for Juve!” Rossi adds. “He is for Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester, Inter (Milan)! To the delight of (Torino president Urbano) Cairo!”
Vlahovic is not the only big-name centre-forward who’s struggled up against one of Europe’s most underrated centre-halves.
