Speaking on the Die For Three Points Podcast, Neil Warnock has been waxing-lyrical about Liverpool target Jude Bellingham.
Like the rest of us, Warnock was blown away by Bellingham’s performance for England against Iran on Monday, and he’s made a huge claim about the teenager.
Indeed, the former Sheffield United manager says that Bellingham has the ability to be one of the best midfielders in the world, stating that he’s incredible impressed by how calm and collected the England star is.

Bellingham headed to the top
Warnock tipped Bellingham to become one of the best in the world
“The young lad, deary me. Bellingham, what a player. I think he is going to be one of the best midfield players in the world. I think he’s that good. He’s so calm and collected, he knows what he’s doing. His header, nobody said it but it was a fantastic header from that angle. The power on it, it was a better goal than he was given credit for I thought,” Warnock said.
Early days
This is a lot of pressure to be putting on young shoulders.
Yes, it’s exciting to get carried away by a player who is shining this brightly so young, but Bellingham is still largely unproven.
He’s only 19 years old, and he’s never kicked a ball in the Premier League.
Performances in the Bundesliga are all well and good, but they can be deceiving, just look at how the likes of Kai Havertz, Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho have performed in England since making their moves.
Bellingham did shine this week, but, again, it was only a game against Iran.
Liverpool are keen on this player, and he could be a star, but any interested clubs still need to tread carefully here, as do any pundits.
