Speaking on TalkSPORT, Tony Cascarino has been discussing reported Liverpool target Jarrod Bowen.
The West Ham winger has been making headlines this week. He put on an incredible display against Watford and he’s surely now in the discussion to make the next England squad.
While Bowen’s international hopes may be the talk of the town at the moment, let’s not forget that a big transfer move could also be on the horizon for the attacker.
Indeed, Liverpool have repeatedly been credited with an interest in Bowen, and Cascarino believes that the winger is a bit like Mohamed Salah.
What’s been said about Bowen?
Cascarino was full of praise for the West Ham man.
“He’s direct, he runs, he’s a bit like Salah. He always seems to get a chance in a game and he runs at people and plays in different positions. He’s come on leaps and bounds and you have to give credit to David Moyes for that because he’s stayed with him,” Cascarino said.

Potential replacement
It’s very interesting to hear Cascarino comparing Bowen to Salah. After all, he could end up replacing him one day.
The pair are rather similar. They’re both speedy left-footers who play on the right, while they also both have an exceptional work-rate.
Of course, Salah is a few levels ahead of Bowen at the moment and he’s much more clinical in front of goal, but with the right coaching, Bowen could come close to hitting that level.
