Speaking on his Twitch channel, Fabrice Muamba has been full of praise for Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale.

Ramsdale has been excellent so far this season for the Gunners, and he was at it again over the weekend, keeping another clean sheet and making a string of brilliant saves.

The stopper kept Newcastle United at bay on Saturday, and he once again added to his brilliant highlight reel, making a couple of fantastic saves from long-range strikes by Jonjo Shelvey.

Muamba was blown away by Ramsdale, and he claims that the former Sheffield United man is now the best goalkeeper in England.

What’s been said about Ramsdale?

Muamba had nothing but good things to say about Ramsdale.

“I think, personally in my opinion, he is the best goalkeeper in England right now, some of the saves he’s making right now, it’s incredible. Everything that’s coming his way, he’s making it look easy. I was sceptical of him because he came from a team that got relegated, and Arsenal spent a lot to get him, but he’s got his opportunity and he’s making save after save. Everything Aaron is doing looks very good. Aaron, as I said, when you look at the top goalkeepers in England, this kid should be amongst it. He’s come so far in terms of proving his ability. You cannot rule this young man out, he’s been incredible,” Muamba said

This is a massive claim from Muamba.

There are some unbelievable goalkeepers plying their trade in the Premier League right now, the likes of Alisson, Ederson, David De Gea and Edouard Mendy have all be brilliant this season, but on recent form, you could argue that Ramsdale is the best of the bunch.

Yes, he’s not kept as many clean sheets as Mendy, while he’s not as proven as Alisson or Ederson, but based purely on the quality of saves he’s been making, you have to say he’s in the conversation.
