Some Arsenal fans on social media are getting very excited after they were linked with a move for Albert Sambi Lokonga.
The Anderlecht midfielder is reportedly on Arsenal’s radar, and Gunners supporters are keen to see this deal get over the line.
Lokonga has been starring for Anderlecht over in Belgium this season under the tutelage of Vincent Kompany, and it’s fair to say he’s caught the eye of some Arsenal supporters.
Indeed, fans were claiming that he’d be a better option than Yves Bissouma, who has strongly been linked with the Gunners, while others compared him to Yaya Toure.
The 21-year-old has certainly been impressive so far in his career, but the reality is he’s not proven at the top level.
However, we’ve seen plenty of top players come from Belgium in recent years, with the likes of Youri Tielemans and Kevin De Bruyne coming from Anderlecht and Genk respectively.
Whether or not this move comes to fruition remains to be seen, but if Arteta and Edu can get this one over the line it would certainly be a popular signing.
