Tottenham are reportedly keen on signing FC Barcelona centre-back Clement Lenglet, who is likely to leave the club in January.
According to Gerard Romero on Twitch, the north London side are keeping tabs on the French international. Lenglet has made just four appearances this season for Barcelona as an exit looks more and more likely for the 26-year-old.
As per Romero, Spurs had an interest in Lenglet in the summer transfer window. However, a transfer was unable to come through as Tottenham instead signed Cristian Romero from Atalanta.
Even under Antonio Conte, Spurs’ defence has continued to leak goals, with Tottenham currently having a minus goal difference in the Premier League table.
Indeed, defensive reinforcements could be needed in January, and it appears that Lenglet is an option for Tottenham.
The former Sevilla star has never settled with Barcelona despite spending three years with the club. And now it appears that Xavi Hernandez is eager to offload the French centre-back.
Moreover, Barcelona fans are desperate for the move to happen, with supporters on social media eager for Lenglet to finally leave the club after hardly featuring for the La Liga side this campaign.
Barcelona fans beg Tottenham to sign Lenglet

After all, Barcelona still have to offload some players to combat their disastrous financial situation. And Lenglet, who has barely played this season, could do with moving on.
