Tottenham Hotspur have offered a mixed reaction to Ryan Mason’s comments about Harry Kane before the League Cup final on Sunday.
The stand-in Spurs manager told Sky Sports that he is hoping that Kane will be back on the training pitch ‘by the end of the week’.
But he made it clear that Tottenham are taking his situation as a ‘day-by-day’ thing.
Kane missed Tottenham’s 2-1 win over Southampton on Wednesday – Mason’s first game in charge of the club.
And even though they fell behind, it was no trouble for Mason in his first game in charge as the North London outfit walked away with all three points.
Following Mason’s comments about Kane, some fans are hopeful that their star man will return for that Wembley showdown.
Whilst others feel that the 29-year-old fresh-faced coach is already playing mind games.
