Jack Wilshere told the Highbury Squad that he likes the look of Arsenal’s new signing, Nuno Tavares.
The former midfielder shared that Tavares will ‘add something’ to Arsenal’s team ahead of the new Premier League season.
Life started in a pretty brilliant fashion for Tavares because he scored in his first unofficial game for Arsenal when they recorded a 2-2 draw against Rangers in a pre-season friendly.
And now the attack-minded fullback will be hoping to push Kieran Tierney for a first-team spot, as Wilshere made this claim about the player.
“I like the look of the new boy they have brought in,” said Wilshere. “He scored the other day. He will add something.”

Whilst Tavares has impressed, more than likely, he will start from the bench for Arsenal when the new season starts.
But it will be interesting to see how Mikel Arteta uses Tierney next season and whether he deploys him in a back three.
With Ben White seemingly set to sign for Arsenal, and Arteta frequently switching to a three at the back, it should make it easier for him to play that formation.
Plus, for Scotland at Euro 2020, Tierney played on the left-hand side of a back three, with Andy Robertson as the wing-back.
Even though the Scots suffered an early exit, he thrived in that position and perhaps that is something Arteta can look at when the new season kicks off.
