Jose Enrique has urged Liverpool to sign Chelsea midfielder, Conor Gallagher, who would ‘suit our style’, as he posted on Instagram.
Liverpool are searching for that midfielder ahead of transfer deadline day and Enrique thinks Chelsea’s academy star would be ‘very, very good for us’.
Gallagher was sent off over the weekend when he picked up two bookings in the first half of his side’s 2-1 win over Leicester City.

Could that have been his last game for Chelsea? The transfer window slams shut on Thursday night and Gallagher is a sought-after player.
The likes of West Ham United and Newcastle United have been suggested as possible destinations for the England international, but a lot might also depend on who Chelsea are able to bring in.
Nonetheless, with Liverpool needing another face in midfield before transfer deadline day, Enrique would like his former side to knock on Chelsea’s door.
“What do you think of this option,” said Enrique. “He is actually a player I love. Look at the numbers that he did at Crystal Palace last season.
“Compare them now with Kieta during the last four seasons. I love Kieta and I think he is a very, very good player. It comes back to the problem during the past four seasons and his availability to play and he doesn’t.
“We need squad players that can really be available all the time or most of the time. In Gallagher, I believe he is one them. He suits our style of play.
“He can score goals and is someone who would be very, very good for us. And someone I really like.”
SHOULD GALLAGHER LEAVE CHELSEA?
Thomas Tuchel’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat at Southampton on Tuesday night and it further highlighted the issues the Chelsea boss is facing.
Adding to suspensions and injuries, it has resulted in the team producing indifferent form, including being thin in certain areas of the pitch.
So, would Chelsea be willing to let Gallagher go given that they aren’t exactly flying high during the early parts of the new Premier League season?
Whatever does happen, Gallagher needs to remember that if he wants to maintain his England spot, then he needs regular minutes and that needs to be the top of his priorities.
