Kenny Miller has claimed that Leeds United transfer target, Ryan Kent, wouldn’t be at Rangers if he’s scored more goals for the Scottish club, as he told Go Radio.
The former Gers striker added that Kent is a ‘real top performer’, but one thing missing from his game is his lack of goals.
The 25-year-old scored only three in all competitions last term, but he did provide 20 assists from his 46 games, as Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side suffered heartache in the Europa League final.

Nonetheless, despite Kent’s lack of goals, the Englishman is still attracting interest from teams in the Premier League, including Leeds.
Regarding Kent’s game, this is what Miller had to say about what the all-action winger does well and where he needs to improve.
“His levels of assists were very, very good last season,” said Miller. “If he were to add goals to his game, then I probably think he’s not at Rangers.
“If he’s just looking at double figures goals last season, then I think it was about 17-18 assists over the course of the season, if he added double figures goals to that with all the attributes that he has got because some of the things he does is really, really eye-catching.
“He’s at an age where if there is one area Ryan Kent can improve on, then it can be that. I think that’s pretty obvious. In a lot of his performances, there are a lot of eye-catching stuff, especially in Europe.
“He’s a real top performer. But adding that level of goals I think takes him to another level.”

SHOULD KENT LEAVE RANGERS?
The former Liverpool player has one-year left on his contract and a big call has to be made regarding his future at Ibrox this summer.
Either the Glasgow giants sell the player and generate some sort of fee for his talents or hope he signs on the dotted line and extends his stay at the club.
At the end of the day, the Gers can’t compete with the financial power teams in England have, so if someone comes knocking, then just like Joe Aribo, they may have no choice but to say yes.
But this is a critical time for a number of Rangers players, Calvin Bassey looks set to leave, Aribo has already gone, whilst there is talk of Alfredo Morelos’s future.
There needs to be more clarity at the club, futures of players need to be sorted out, contracts need to be signed or players need to leave so Van Bronckhorst can stamp his own authority on the team.
