Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has raved about reported Liverpool target Raphael Varane on Twitch.
Aubameyang has said that the Real Madrid star is the best central defender he has faced in his career so far.
According to a report in Diario Madridista last month, Liverpool are interested in signing the 27-year-old France international central defender from Spanish and European giants Madrid in the summer of 2021.
When asked about the hardest defender he has ever played against, Aubameyang said on Twitch: “I would say maybe Varane because he is quick.”
The striker added: “Tall, quick, strong. Was always tough against him. Yeah, yeah, I think Varane.”

Good signing for Liverpool?
Varane is one of the best centre-backs in the world and is at the peak of his career, and the 27-year-old would be a brilliant addition to the Liverpool team.
The Frenchman would slot in perfectly alongside Virgil van Dijk and would make the Reds even better, forming a strong defensive unit with Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold and Andy Robertson.
The 27-year-old is a serial winner, having won the La Liga title thrice and the Champions League on four occasions with Madrid and the 2018 World Cup with France.
Varane is quick, is vastly experienced and is good on the ball, and he would form a very formidable partnership with Van Dijk at the back for Liverpool.
