Gillette Soccer Saturday presenter Jeff Stelling was dismissive of Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini on Sky Sports News (1:20pm, February 12, 2022).
The Soccer Saturday presenter said on the show that Gollini, signed on loan from Italian club Atalanta in the summer of 2021, was never going to get a game for Tottenham this season.
Stelling made the remark about the 26-year-old Italy international goalkeeper while looking at the signings that Fabio Paratici has made since he was appointed the Tottenham Managing Director of Football.
The presenter said on the Gillette Soccer Saturday show on Sky Sports News (1:20pm, February 12, 2022): “He brought in Pierluigi Gollini. He is never going to get a game, is he?”

In our view, it has been a disappointing spell for Gollini at Tottenham so far.
It’s not because the 26-year-old former Aston Villa goalkeeper has been poor when called into action.
It’s because first Nuno and then Antonio Conte have kept Hugo Lloris as the number one between the posts.
In fact, the France international goalkeeper signed a new contact with Tottenham recently.
Gollini has yet to play in the Premier League table this season.
The Italian goalkeeper has made three appearances in the Carabao Cup, four in the UEFA Conference League, and once in the FA Cup for Tottenham so far this campaign.
