Former Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger says Harry Kane is ‘now frustrated’ at Tottenham Hotspur because of how the standards have dropped at the club in recent years.
The FIFA Chief of Global Football Development added that a player like Harry Kane sets ‘high standards’, but those are no longer being met.
Under Mauricio Pochettino, Tottenham started to go places and they became Champions League regulars, as well as visits to semi-finals and finals.

Added to that, it was against the backdrop of not spending big like their rivals, plus they were bringing through some top English talent and playing some incredible football.
Fast forward to the present and that team has been washed away, there is no manager on board for next season and no one is running the footballing side of things after Fabio Paratici’s exit.
Not forgetting that Kane is out of contract in 2024, all in all, it’s a world of mess and Wenger shared his thoughts on the matter, as he told beIN SPORTS.
“To translate it (Kane’s comments on standards dropping), not everybody gives their maximum to perform during the game and in training,” said Wenger.
On whose fault that is: “Is it down to the character of the players? Is it down to the whole atmosphere inside the training ground? Or the coaches? I don’t know.
“You need to live every day with players to know what’s really going on, what does work and what doesn’t work.
“You have players like Harry Kane and his high standards. He is now frustrated because, for years, the team looked on the way up. Since two or three years, they look to fade again.”

TOTTENHAM IN A MESS
As the days tick by, Daniel Levy becomes more and more unpopular with the fanbase.
It has been pretty clear this season, both home and away, that anti-Levy and ENIC chants have been growing louder and louder.
Can that be squashed out by a top-level manager, such as Julian Nagelsmann being appointed, added to Harry Kane signing a new contract? Yes, but Levy doesn’t have the ability to do that.
