Everton have reportedly discussed the idea of re-appointing Marco Silva after the departure of Carlo Ancelotti, and one player who is bound to be happy about that is Seamus Coleman.
Everton fans weren’t enamoured by Silva towards the end of his reign, but one player who always remained loyal to the former Hull City boss was Coleman.
The Irishman always urged the board to be patient with the gaffer, and he has previously waxed-lyrical about Silva.
What has Coleman said?
Back in 2018, Coleman lavished praise upon the then Everton boss, claiming that he bring the best out of his players and that he’s a great man.
“I think he a coach who brings the best out of players, he is a positive man. Anyone who had worked with him in the past said we would really like him and he is demanding on the training pitch and at half time but if you bump into him in the corridor he is asking about your family. He is a great man,” Coleman said.

Second-time lucky
Silva had his issues towards the end of his reign at Everton, but let’s not forget that he’s actually a decent manager.
He did a good job at Hull, despite the Tigers being relegated that season, while he also had Watford playing some great football.
The beginning of his reign at Everton was decent, but sadly, things went awry rather quickly.
However, after last summer’s squad overhaul, Silva will be returning to a new-look side and perhaps he could do a lot better this time around.
One thing is for sure, Silva’s return would be greeted positively by Coleman.
