Nuno Espirito Santo has defended the quality of creativity in Spurs‘ side following their 1-0 loss to West Ham United. Yet fans are not sold on the Portuguese manager’s defence.
Speaking to the press via Four Four Two, the £146k-a-week coach spoke about his squad’s creative qualities. This was after being asked if he believed there was a lack of creativity in the Tottenham team.
Nuno’s side failed to register a single shot in the second half against the Hammers. Moreover, with Tottenham on the losing side of another London derby, the pressure is mounting for the former Wolves coach.
Indeed, problems are beginning to pile for Tottenham. Yet Nuno’s answer to the press over the lack of creativity was not what Spurs supporters wanted to hear.
Nuno said when asked about the lack of creativity in Spurs’ squad: “I think the team needs to be balanced. To be balanced in terms of the presence of the players.”
The Tottenham boss added: “Besides being good players, they give us the balance the team needs. And we have enough creativity with our full-backs, our attackers. I don’t agree with you, I don’t agree with you.”

Indeed, Spurs fans on social media were concerned over Nuno’s answer. And some supporters believe that the former Valencia man is on borrowed time in north London.
